How would you live if every aspect of your life was without limits?
Limitations are the little boundaries life puts in place. You only have so much time in a day. You cannot afford every single item you want to buy. Your human body is physically limited. We just cannot do anything and everything we would like to do in our lives. Life has its limits.
But, what if it didn’t? What if you had the power to do absolutely anything you wanted to do in your life? You could buy what you wanted, do whatever you wanted to do, and life however you please. You are unbounded by life’s constrictions. How now would you decide to live your life?
Here’s an example. Imagine if you had unlimited monetary fortune.
Anything you wanted to buy, you could afford one hundred times over if you wanted to. Anything you needed in your life could be bought and sold on your own whim. You have complete freedom.
Now, imagine if you had all of the time in the world to do whatever you wanted
Time, for us all, eventually runs out. To normally complete a task, we need the minutes and hours in the day to finish what we need to finish. We don’t always have the luxury of having time on our side. However, let us pretend you do not have to worry about that. You can take the time to finish whatever you need to finish. Life’s timer will not run out.
Finally, imagine if you yourself faced no limitations.
You are physically unbeatable, mentally unbreakable, and without any of the faults that always seem to befall mankind. Any kind of physical ailment or attribute is now rendered meaningless because you are able to do whatever you want to do. Your body will not break down and quit on you.
Sure, most of these scenarios are amazingly exciting when we first start to conceive them. We are no longer bound and stopped from doing what we want to do in our lives. A world without anything holding us back; who wouldn’t want that?
It creates limitless possibilities, which is not always a good thing.
If you have all of the time in the world, how to you plan to fill the hours in your day? If you have all the money in the world to buy what you please, what happens when you’ve obtained everything you could have dreamed of in your life? If you’re the perfect human, how do you ever plan on improving in your own life?
Limits seem so limiting sometimes, but they also provide us with structure and guidelines. They help us figure out where do go in our lives. If your body is limiting, you are motivated to find ways to improve upon yourself. When your wallet isn’t filled to the brim with cash and credit cards, you want to work hard to afford the finer things in life. We need limits to figure out how to move past them.
I may be limited, but my possibilities are limitless.
